twice now I have been pulled over with the cop saying license plate light is out. this last time I got out of the car showed him it is not out. I have cleaned the lens. just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or if anyone has upgraded or change license plate light to something else.

Never had that problem. I upgraded to LEDs. Not because I needed them, I was just bored.MRT

Some areas are simply worse then others as Ive owned one minitruck after another with no kind of tag lights to speak of. Odd though that cleaned and functioning your tag lights still do not seem to work good. I would think that 2 lights mounted right above the tag would put off plenty of light

the standard bulb for the tag light is a 194 bulb
try using a 2825 bulb, same size/shape but much brighter
or a W5W in other brandsComment

You'd think that two lights would make enough light to show it. could the cop just be using it just to pull me over. Is the accord the new drug dealer car or what.

I got stopped Saturday night a week ago....was doing the speed limit and being good, just KNEW he was there to hassle me.....come to find out one of my new HID ballasts was bad....was driving down the road with one headlight and he ended up being cool, even brought a flashlight to help me peek under the hood.Originally posted by snakeman34 View PostComment

Most cops will treat you as you treat them, be respectful and polite and HONEST. If you were caught speeding dont even TRY to deny it. Its amazing how many tickets we can get out of but there are the jerks out there that are just plain mean and rude and we cant do anything but suck it up and move on.
