painted chrome trim

well i did what a few have you did. since i got rid of the machine lipped wheels... the chrome trim around the windows just didnt look right. i remember someone mentioning that its like a lengthy job and it should be done with a friend. but i figured, how hard could it be. shit was i wrong. it took me about 4hrs to mask everything off. it didnt turn out perfect, but not bad considering ive never done anything like this before. although while doing this i noticed what a shitty job they did painting my car. its flaking some around the edges next to the molding... my bad for not doing any prep work. but oh well, im not building a show car.

nice job dude. prepping is the most important part and time consuming but its worth it. ive done 4 cars already! i think its fun. i like to use satin, what finish did you use?

i used a flat black. i just wanted to black them out, but i didnt want any gloss to it.

you car looks fucking clean good job but there is one thing that stands out kinda sticks out from your car. and i think its the red/clears tails....there just to bright compare to all of your dark car. but ever think about having the clear paint tinted? or painted darker? just a suggestion but over clean shit!~

ive thought about that, but it doesnt really bother me. and i would never paint those. if i was to do anything, it would be have them professionally tinted a little bit. for now i still like the red clear. i still dont see them a whole lot around here. especially on a coupe
