    Windshield Replacement

I had my windshield replaced on my 92 EX today. I was quoted $340 at Satellite but found a smaller shop that came out and did it for $180. Just thought I'd share what the prices were. I realized if I had the fancy suction cups and long mast razor blade I could of just done it myself.

I'm working on getting the car ready for inspection. Last week I had a local Mennonite exhaust shop take off the dented fart-can and install a stock header back exhaust including cat and new muffler for $200. It's nice and quiet again!

Inspection is tomorrow and i'm crossing my fingers. I have a CEL on but the distributor I'll get to once I'm on the road. I've been driving it for over a year with it on.

Yeah, you could've done it, but I think it's one of those things I wouldn't mind leaving to a professional. If nothing else then for warranty purposes. I would, however, prefer that they just stop once the windshield is in and let me do the chrome molding though. Those clips are too delicate to be handled by someone who couldn't care less about how long they hold up.

Thanks for the pricing info. Was it a used OEM or new replacement windshield?
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

This is true. When I had my windshield replaced, one of those hilarious "oops I forgot to put my hood pins back in!" moments, they left out like half the clips for the plastic piece at the bottom. I didn't mind much because I was happy to not have a shattered windshield anymore that I could hear moving everytime I hit a bump or the wind was blowing hard.

I believe I had mine done for $150.
We are all ricers, it just depends what flavor rice you are.

Minitrucker by heart, CB7tuner by coincidence.
