EL Wire

First off not 100% sure where this needs to be located, so sorry ahead of time if this is in the wrong location.

I had a question about EL, elctroluminescent, wires. I've been looking at them online and I was curious as to if anyone here has had any experience with them? I was thinking that if I could get some in a small enough diameter then I could use it as "piping" in my door panels. Has anyone tried this? If so how do they look? I've done some searching on here but haven't found anything yet.

I don't think I've seen an Accord like that, but about ten years ago I saw several other cars done that way. I'd imagine Google would bring up enough different cars to give you a rough idea of how it would look.

I've looked at some online, I guess I was more curious as if anyone on here has done it. And if there was any "complications" doing it. I think I've got the wiring somewhat figured out, but since it runs on AC the inverter part of it is throwing me off a bit. I guess I'll order a kit and play with it some since its not that expensive.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I want to do mine in white and have it hooked to the interior light circuit. I don't want it on when I'm driving because it will screw with my night vision.
