      HO-LY CRAP

thats waaaaay too many layers. 3 base MAX and 2 clear. your shits gonna be orange-peeled like a champ, and all that clear will most likely spiderweb. good luck with it though, i know its only for you to sell, but i'd hate to be the buyer and find all that bondo and paint mashed together right there.

lol proves you don't know much about painting, when you're using shitty canadian tire paint you have to do a lot more layers.. I've done this many times before and if you don't do enough layers the paint comes off WAYYY too easily.

wow,not knowing what kind of paint you used shows that i don't know much about painting? God, I hope none of my clients find out.

Maybe the fact that you're using "shitty candaian tire paint" shows how much YOU know about painting. Why use crap if you KNOW it's crap instead of buying some decent paint? It's not that expensive.

But i digress. Clearly you know so much more than me on the subject. I must not know anything about bodywork either since apparently when using candian filler it's important to use expanding foam as a good base. Us silly americans are still using metal.

hmm lemme think, on a dirt cheap budget build I'm gunna go scope out the good bondo and the good paint, rofl. I did this for under $100, I'd like to see you do that.

There are alot of body shops that do cheap stuff like that. Spray foam, short-hair, glaze and itll pass a safety. Thats all he needs it for. Aerosol clear sucks balls and you literally need to drown it to get the same effect. But frozen, you should have known better than to make a hard line with your masking, it will always be there.

Other than that get rid of it quick, Looks good for a canadian accord.

                      HOW to PREVENT RUST?

For us CB7 owners who are lucky enough to have little or no rust at all in the rear wheel wells, what would be a good way to PREVENT this from eventually happening?

My 91 only has 1-2 milimetre nicks in the paint near the wheel well and I can see the exposed metal in those tiny nicks is starting to get rust. Does that mean my well is actually more rusted than it appears? Or can I still save my well? I happen to live in Washington, which, though it seems to rain here a lot too, doesn't seem to have the severity of rust-ridden CB's that I've noticed are common in the Canadian accords.

In washington the roads are not typically salted every winter.
so the cars dont rust as fast. to prevent it Keep the car clean and have any surface rust spots repaired. The proper way. not the hick way.
Good job Frozen, you may have signed some poor saps death warrant...Did you check the suspension? Hmm? Well..I have worked in a body shop and
I cannot simply pass this off. You did NOT do a good job, you did NOT make it look better than it was, and you most certainly did not REPAIR it. you made it worse.
that car should be sitting in a scrapyard. I cannot believe that you did this...
I would be fired. You are fired. You fail.

Ok the hick way..Jeezus dude..I meant no disrespect to canada man..Love the place. But I am just appalled at the "work" done here...
You dont have to swear to make a point either...that makes you seem crude. I apologize for the Canadian part of my above comment. I meant no harm from it. And as for having balls. Yes he certainly has balls. But In the process he has ruined a car with a SEVERELY unsafe and
unstable, not to mention short lived, "repair". I am currently studying for my
Associates Of Applied Sciences in Automotive Collision Technology.
So I feel that when doing repairs they should be done the right way...
ASE certification does mean something to me...I can't just let something this haphazard and unsafe go. I'm sorry.
And as for me getting my hands dirty and posting it on the internet, I usually have no need because all my ideas have been done before.
So just take a breath here. I was in NO WAY attacking where he was from.
I was critiquing his "unconventional" method of "repairing" his vehicle.
Also another reason this post made me so upset is that repairs like that, and PICTURES of repairs like that, circulate. They give people like me a bad name.
It tends to cement the negative image of the "AutoBody guy".
                              that's all...Just calm down man....
