Does anyone think this can be saved without cutting and rewelding and without taking it to a body shop? Poor cb7

    WITHOUT cutting and welding???? no

Even with extensive bodywork knowledge that is hardly worth the effort, skill, time, patience, and money it would require to fix that. sorry.

Wow so derrogatory! Think happy thoughts!!! Jeez man it's a fellow CB7!!!

You saw my pathetic step 1... Get rid of as much rust as you can before getting ridiculously bored.

      Step 2. FOAM!!!

What about now, did I get your hopes up a little?

Sorry man, that's some pretty bad rust.

And even after your work with that extensive of rust it's probably still all around where you thought you removed it. Gonna take new quarter panels and some more body work. To get it all out the right way.

You used Great Stuff to rebuild your quarter panels?

If it's that bad there, I bet you have NO metal under your doors.

Edit; I'm selling the car... thats my reason for doing this... I have a boosted eg that I'm building for a 10 second civic and I have a vdub golf as a DD

Well the rust will come back soon. It might turn out looking okay... for the time being.

I'm sure you will tell the person you are selling the car too about all of this.

i think that's a pretty intelligent "quick" fix.
....and on the 7th day, deevergote rested and called his mom.

Until you hit something and that big ol pot of bondo just falls off.

Also another reason I needed to do it was because there are no etests here in newbrunswick their safetys are strict on bodys and the way it was, it wouldnt pass safety and since Im up here for the summer I want a car to drive around and possibly drive back to ontario
