    Relocating seat buckle

I hope to get new seats soon i currently have generic recaros srd. the buckle bolts up like so in the picture.

but with this new seat i want seems i wont be able to have the same set up for buckle.

now what i was wondering was could i weld something to the bottom of my bracket like shown below and be safe?

    this is my custom bracket

Don't your original modified brackets still have the buckle mount?
Btw what size bolts are you using to hold the brackets to the rails?

If your going to put a bracket on, Bolt it to the frame rather than weld it (or do both) with the correct grade bolt.

Seriously, they need to be bigger than that. In an accident the heads will rip right through / off.

The shank should be at least 10mm. Theres a reason why the rail to chassis bolts are so big.

The head of the bolt is 14mm yes, but not the shank.
