    Headlights modification...

I was wondering if it possible to remove the bulb cover inside the headlight housing on the outer sides... I'm currently using all high-beam bulbs(9005's) and I want to remove this cover for extra light output!

    Thanks in advance,
    Caleb

I'm blinding them already... I have a friend that drove passed me one time and he said my lights were really bright. I want more output than what I have because it doesn't shine where I think it needs to, even after adjusting them.

Based on the fact that it sounds like you are already using the 9005 conversion, what will solve all of your problems and keep the masses happy is a retrofit. You will end up with superior lighting without blinding oncoming traffic.
Otherwise you might want to consider different bulbs since that would be a much easier and cheaper alternative.

Oh and to answer your question, yes it can be removed.

Yea, first of all don't take the covers off because you are going to be blinding people like all get out, it would be practically the same thing as brights. Cops will screw you so bad and will make you fix it.

Tell me more of the retrofit... is there such a detailed DIY thread on this? I've heard people talk of retrofiting, but I kinda get lost when they start aurguing which stuff is better.

                              pretty much.

if you really want to see the way a headlight or foglight lights up the road, you need to take a pic of the cutoff, i.e. the pic needs to be taken from inside the car, on top of the car, or from the side. example:

is the light bright?!?! the way i took the pic, it doesn't look as bright as those projectors...

i guarantee "projector" headlights don't come close to h.i.d.'s

again, if you want to see the quality of the light, ask to see the light cutoff. second thing to ask about is the stats of the pics (shutter speed and aperture) if they don't have pics of the light cutoff, there's probably a reason, or can't give you the stats of the pics, there's probably a reason...
pics of light cutoff are the only way to truly see if one light system is equal or better than another.
