Detail Manager at Darrell Waltrip Honda*

Like TypeG, most of the time I don't take pictures because once I'm done, it's on to the next job! ...but sometimes, you DO have to take a moment to do your own whip, it's kinda like your business card, and resume for people who know what you do professionally. I've been detailing since 94.
I just love to do it, and sometimes it pays nicely... Enough about that, on to some pictures...

Washed, Buffed, and waxed... after hours at work*

Showing some depth to the painjob, and of course the detail work for my own car's pleasure*

Some say that I will oneday wash the paint off... Oh well! Hehe*

Yeah, I understand, but for me it is just a hobby and not a profession, so I usually take pictures of my work, and now that summer time is coming up it seemed appropriate to bump this thread.

          Nice work everyone!

Haha, since Type G posted, anything else, well, it just won't even come close.

This guy is a polishing wizard!

Quick question, what haven't you polished? I think that list would be significantly shorter than the list of things you have polished

                      Which products do you have?

I liked werkstatt products initially, but I have moved on to other things since then.

I thought I had already posted this detail in the thread, but I guess not. This is the 2nd time I detailed this fit. It was for the Nisei car show of Aug. 2008. This car took about 8 hours just for paint correction and about 10-11 hours total for everything.

                          The Process:
-Pre soaked the whole car with DP extreme foam soap in a foam gun
-Cleaned rims with DP Gel Wheel Cleaner
-Cleaned tires and fender liner with HT-1 Tire Cleaner
-Washed the car with DP extreme foam
-Clayed with Pinnacle Poly Ultra Clay & ONR clay lubricant
-Polished with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with an Orange Lake Country cutting pad
-Finishing Polish with Menzerna Nano Polish (106ff) with a white Lake Country Polishing pad
-Sealed with Polycharged Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant.

-Tires were treated with DP Tire Gel
-Window trim and door seals were treated with 1z Einszett Gummi Pflege
-Windows were cleaned with Stoners Invisible Glass
-Interior was wiped down with 303 Aerospace protectant
-Whole car was wiped down with Finish care FK425 before the show

                          Before shots of paint

                          Next day at the show

I didn't get any during the process shots because I didn't have the time when correcting this car.

I really just like the jett....

I use wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant instead of acrylic jett. Jett is nice with silver and light colored cars, but on a black car wolfgang blows it away and wolfgang is also easier to apply and remove. I don't know if you have ever tried polycharger, but polycharged acrylic jett is a nightmare to take off if you don't have the right towels.

I used the jet from jeff, becuase I was doing mostly light
cars, but I guess I should try the wolfgang....
Have u heard good things about Klasse stuff?
