Are you doing this to be different or for SQ?
More for a wow factory. I figure 4 per side in parralell would be pretty efficeint. Seings how my whole cabin shakes with the motor and all my ferighn noises I thought it would be a decent upgrade.

my main goal is wide soundstage.

For more width you want the drivers as far as possible from your ears. If you use those speakers you'll get a diffused and muddy stage because of the various point sources on the pillar. You can get away with a good tweeter/woofer combo.

How did the last install sound?

It was ok. The mids laying sideways were super directional. And I wanted a wider sound stage.

Eh kick panels arnt nessisary. Since my doors are doing 80hz to 200hz.

The mids are doing most the work. Anything lower and it isnt really directional in a car, under driving conditions imo. Also when using 4 per side parallel config makes for decent sens. Also at 2 ohms i can drive the piss outa em If need. I will prolly have to go with 8's in the future. Specially after the 2 10 upgrade.

I looooooove the rs100's. I wish I had kept my pair. They sounded so good...but it wasn't loud enough

The RS225's are good...the RS180 should work if you don't want to do the hack work

Yea im not sure yet... I know that it would be a crime not to fit the 8" in there... The 7 will get by... But i like strong midbass...

It's actually not that hard to fit it. Blending it in and cosmetics will be the hard part.
