Did my wire tuck and now cluster or windows dont work!

ok i was in the progress of doing my wire tuck and turbo swap and im putting my dash back on and when i checked to see if the lights work before everything was on the cluster does not work or windows the interior lights work and all. i still have some connecters not connected in the engine bay like sensors but i dont think that has to do with this problem and i already checked my fuses. What should I Do???

Simple, either a) you blew a fuse, b) you didnt plug something that should be, or c) you left one or more ground banks undone when you did your wire tuck. C is a common issue with people who have done a wire tuck, so I would lean more towards c.

ground banks are you referring to something being grounded because im pretty sure everything is grounded correctly becasue my car starts and everything else is working but those 2 things.

well lets put it this way, when you do a wire tuck on the passenger side and forget to re-ground the ground bank thats under the battery box, the car starts and everything works, but the lights. Just because a ground bank is undone doesnt mean the car won't start, unless its the grounds near the t-stat.

no, not plugging in the headlights wouldnt cause your dash to do this. Ground banks are USUALLY a white plastic cluster of 4 black wires that bolt to the chassis. sometimes they are just one, two, or 3 black wires attached to a single ground connector. Also go back and make sure all of your connections are tight. Did all of these work prior to the wire tuck?

That just might be your problem... Always plug in all the grounds before you check your car for power.

No problem, if it doesnt fix it, check ALL of your fuses, by that I mean actually pull them out and inspect them. As far as the cluster I would go back and make sure everything is plugged in, I dont think there are any plugs for the cluster that could affect the windows. Electrical problems are a bitch to sort out.

COULD is the key word, depends on exactly which banks werent reattached, if at all. Thats the problem with wire tucks, its easy to not re-attach everything or cause electrical issues. I did mine and messed up my headlights and blinkers for awhile until I finally figured it out.
