Alright I just put it in today. It took me a while because I'm at my apartment 2 hours away from my parent's house where all of my soldering equipment is. I refused to install this without soldering the adapter harness to the Pioneer harnesses.

    First thoughts:

The hands-free seems pretty straight-forward. I really only tested it for a little bit so I guess how well it does when I'm driving, listening to the radio, paying attention to the road and other noises are going on before I can really judge it. I routed the microphone up through my a-pillar and it comes out where the pillar meets the headliner. My only real complaint is that the person on the other end seems to think I'm very quiet. Ideally it should be closer to my face like on the visor but I wanted it relatively concealed.

The scrolling and touch-sensitive features are pretty good but as time goes on I see myself getting more and more irritated at the shortcomings. You can't easily skip ahead to a certain part of a song like you could on your iPhone and in your song menu you have to use an up-down button to go through the options instead of swiping across. This likely has to do with cheaper hardware and not having the processing power to handle the same type of movements that an iPhone screen can.

The resolution is also a little grainy but keep in mind I have the second revision of the AppRadio which is different than the AppRadio 2. That one has a larger screen and more features than mine so the resolution is likely better on that one.

Those are my only complaints and even then they're not too harsh. Overall I've enjoyed the few minutes I've gotten to spend with it. I guess I'll update this as I go on. More or less I'm using this experience to determine whether or not I want to get one for my CB Accord. Right off the bat the larger screen seems to be the way to go given the position the radio is mounted in the CB requiring all the viewable area you can get.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!
