im wondering if a double din head unit from say a legend or tl would be much of a problem to get into my cb7 wiring looks the same. just dont know how it might fit in the dash.
im sure im gonna get flamers but i have my reasons for wanting to do this.
i am pretty sure the legend unit is made by alpine
you can get them with a eq
alpine mp3 cd changer will work with a m-bus to ai-net cable
stock appearance might ward off theves
they are pretty cheap on ebay.

There is a nice, hefty metal bracket in the back for supporting the back of the radio. In a single DIN install, the radio itself can rest on the map pocket (OEM actually bolts the two together), but with a 1.5 or double DIN there is nothing to support the radio. You will have to fashion your own mount for the back. Not hard, just tedious.
