Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Blaktrax IMS

Currently doing the h23a1 swap, and i was looking over the DIY for the intake manifold spacer and was interested in doing it.
Then i figured i would just go the extra mile and get the Blaktrax IMS instead.

Now what im trying to figure out is:
should i use one Blaxtrax IMS stacked on top of my oem spacer?
or should i use 2 Blaktrax spacers, which would remove the IABs?

it will also supplement the bisimoto im gasket.

You will want to keep the IAB's operational, otherwise you'll be losing your low end power. You can put the blacktrax spacer above or below your IAB's. Below will lengthen the runners and improve low end while above will increase plenum volume and probably help in all rpms. If It were me, I'd put the new spacer on top the IAB's.

Heres my thoughts on this. I have a complete h23 intake manifold in the garage to be swapped. Ive read that people run the h23 plenum and a6 runners because the a6 runners are like a 1/2" shorter. I also plan to double stack, but because I have two iab plates ill probably just gut one for a spacer. I was thinking that mounting the spacer above the iab plate to increase plenum volume would be the better setup. If I wanted to increase runner length then why not just install the h23 runners then double stack above the iab plates?

Going with the A6 lower runners, coupling it with the H23 plenum, and double stacking the IAB plates gives you the best of all worlds.

At WOT and the IABs open, the shorter runners will give you more top end. With the IABs closed at lower RPMs, it will give you good low end.

The added 1/2" long runner from the H23 will give you better low end all the time and a bit less on the upper end at WOT.

I'd like to see a dyno with both a complete H23 vs a A6/H23 combo and see where the powerband on both sit.

Yeah a dyno report of both would be cool.
