Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Upcoming Haltech Platinum ECUS

    Good day ladies and gentlemen!

Just thought I would share with you all some of the new ecus that we will be releasing around the beginning of 2009.

The Platinum Sport 1000 and 2000 will replace our current E8 and E11v2 ECUS, feature usb communication, a 32 bit processor, 32x32 resolution, multiple inputs and outputs, a wide array of supported patch looms (for plug and play applications), an internal 2.5 bar map sensor, and lots of other great features. They will feature a new software package and allow for tuning via VE in addition to the standard means you find in our current ecus. Everything is customizable in the software, and it is leaps and bounds better than the current Halwin software, which isn't necessarily bad, but this newer stuff is great. Also, the pinout on the ecus will remain the same as the current E8 and E11v2, so you can upgrade from your old ecu and not have to get another harness.

You will also see our upcoming Platinum Pro R35 GTR ECU as well. This will be a top of the line full stand alone ecu for the GTR. It will share many of the same features as the current 350Z/VQ35 Platinum plug and play ecu as well.

If anyone has any questions about anything, please let me know.

built in map sensor huh? so does it over ride the stock map sensor, or is that going to have to be disconnected?

I'm going to invest in Haltech unit one day. Maybe I'll help Carlos, if you know what I mean

        Word!

With our ecus, you can choose to use the stock map sensor, wire a new one in, remove your map sensor, etc. It is completely customizable to where you can do pretty much whatever you want. If you want to use something bigger or smaller, you can use that, and then use the internal map sensor for baro correction.

Also, you can enter in custom calibrations to use just about any sensor you can think of.

Same price as the current E8 and E11v2. Our pricing is very dependent upon the strength of the US to OZ dollar, as all our units come from OZ(Australia kiddos). If our dollar stays strong against it, there is a good chance that it could go down a little bit, but I cannot say for sure if it will.

On a side note, I really think that this software and ecu package will be great for us, and now that we have teamed up with AIM and Racepak, we have some great data acquisition capabilities as well, and data acquisition is one of the biggest reasons why people go with MoTec. Good units, but not in everyones budget, just like ours are not, but to a even greater degree. Our units actually use the same processor and and harness connectors as the M800.

        /random factoids.

We do not have a plug in for them, but I am 99% sure that you could do a wire in with little problem. Most BMW's have a 60-2 crank trigger, and we have setting for that built into our software.

With the Haltech ecus, you can select from a number of different crank trigger patterns in the software, as there are tons of different options out there that can be used, and are used by different manufacurers. This allows us to then have our ecus wired in with our long wiring harnesses(very popular for swaps) or you can use one of our patch harnesses in a plug and play type situation, This combination allows for us to be very versatile with a relatively small lineup of about 6 ecus.

K series update, should hopefully have the first of the K series platinums available in early 2009. 03-05 Non Drive by wire cars only to start, and eventually we will be picking up and controlling dbw. Also, these are supposed to be a direct plug in, which should be very nice too.

Build a race car, ask for a sponsorship! haha

We have been sponsoring a few guys as of late, as we are trying to take back the market down in the islands (puerto rico especially) and spread info about our new products up here in the states as well.

Couple of new screenshots today. The new ecus are in, we are awaiting harnesses and final software revisions. We should have them available for sale on Monday, the 19th.

They really are among the best deals out their now IMO. The software takes all of the best things from the best software out there for things like Motec and EFI Live, and puts it all into one package at a fraction of the price.

Here is the flyer I made and sent out to our dealers on Friday just before leaving work.

If anyone wants to check out the software, pm me, and I will get you a link to it, as it is still on our secure server and I cannot post it publically.
