Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Wow that torque is nice. Why is the rpms down I thought that the stage 3 would rev a little higher than that?

      H23 Crower stage 3 race:430
      Bisi H23 cam gears:260
      Arias 12:1 comp pistons:595
      Crower rods:750

So yeah it's won't be the cheapest build but it will be a one of a kind build. Plus that doesn'tcover all the little stuff like the tb bore out, injectors, tune, water pump, timing belt, etc. I'm trying to do as much research as possible. Going to start this in the spring since i'll be working at a machine shop and i'll have access to a flow bench and other good stuff i don't have at home.
You are forgetting all kinds of stuff required for a build, such as seals, gaskets, bearings, rings etc. Add those in and you will be above what an H22 would cost.

Actually, Pirate drives that car on the street alot, even with stage 3 stuff. He says it idles fine at 950rpm

        Here are his dynos:
Green is build with stock h23 cams
Blue is Build with h23 head/crower 3 cams
Red is build with f22b head/crwoer 3 cams

H22 with bolt ons vs G23 build:
        Red is H22A
        Blue is Build

I'm actually in the middle of a build similar to what he's done. I'm changing a few parts though... Bisi Stage 2 cams (this is what Bisi recommended), k24z3 pistons, blacktrax manifold, mildly ported head (mostly on the exhaust), 68mm TB. My goal is 200whp and 190wtq... the tuner thinks this is easily possible if I get a better exhaust system. To think, the entire block is stock honda parts and I get 11:1 compression and 2306cc's and it all fits together correctly... almost like honda intended it.

If you intend to put Arias forged pistons in the h23 block you'll have to do your homework. As far as I know, the h23 has FRM walls, and FRM walls don't like forged pistons.
Mahle makes forged pistons that are compatible with the stock FRM walls. They can be found under the "gold series."

I know thats why I put ", etc." I didn't feel like adding up all the stuff right now. It might cost more than an H22 but if you build the H22 your going to spend money too. Yes i know if you build an H22 you can make alot more power than an H23 build.

            horsepower sells... you DRIVE torque.

i peronally own/drive an AUTO jdm f22b w/ a worked bottom end and easily hang(some i beat, some i lose to) h22s all day. this is on a completely STOCK head and comletely stock auto trans.

if you mean 200 CRANK hp, easily do-able...

People of cb7tuner, this AUTO is NOT a joke. It has impressed ME, the hater of auto's.

The f23 rod bolts are tiny and h22 pistons are pretty heavy, so he chose not to rev higher than where the power peak happened at 6500 rpm. Reving higher just didn't gain anything on this setup. I'm sure with a little cam tuning and some more air flow this setup would continue to make power past 6500rpm if you had the balls to rev that high.
