Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    F22 Dyno Chart

For those curious, here is a dyno chart that was done on my car today (done on a Dynojet)

Specs are: 211k F22A4, H23 IM, IABs, IAB Spacer, 2.25" catback, stock intake tube with a cone filter, F22A6 cam, F22A4 header, PT6 ECU.

You can definitely see the effect of the IABs around 4700rpm, and you can see that the motor produces a fairly healthy torque curve from 2700-5300 with this setup.

nice numbers man. kinda low but nice numbers. im sure im right around there if i can fix my exhaust leak. i bet with a bigger intake, bored TB, and a 272 regrind or a bisi stage 1 cam, you'll pull out a few more ponies from that a4.

how much did the dyno run you? how many pulls?

Have you tried running without the IABs? I have my IAB plate completely removed but I still have a blacktrax spacer installed, and I feel that it gives a better gain in the higher rpms.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the stock intake tube is holding me back. This was mainly to get a baseline before I get my Bisi header/cam/springs and move to a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust.

It was $60 for the dyno, I could have done more pulls, but I figured 2 was enough to get a decent baseline.

I'm hoping to be able to afford to get a before and after bisi header also. You should see a really nice gain from the new header and mandrel exhaust. You might want to get a true 3.0" CAI to help the intake.

another dyno with the iab butterflies out would settle the ongoing debate over having them installed vs not, I think low end would suffer but who stays below 4k ? well actually I stay below 4k unless I'm really romping...so below 4k suffering might not be too good.

course you'd have to have the same intake tubing setup too...or put a better intake on...dyno run...then another run without iabs...but that's another $120

I need to finish my a6/h23 intake swap...
