Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    gas gauge help

i removed my cluster to remove my srs light and after i put it back together my gas gage went all the way to full and stayed there...anyone knows whats the problem??

Did you unscrew the gauge face from the cluster? If so then you likely didn't but the right screws back where they go. They are different lengths and putting a long screw in a short hole is a good way to kill that gauge.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Or, he might have over tightened the screws as well. Super easy to do.....

I'm having an issue with my fuel gauge too. It only works from full to half.

I tested it last week, and the low fuel light works, and when I jump the B & C terminals, the needle goes from half to full, and then when I release it, falls back to half.

Been through 2 tanks of fuel like this so far.

            What's yours doing?

I've had issues with mine since I took it out, although all I did was only remove the faceplate to put rings on it. I didn't disturb the gauges.

              Mikey,
Mine was doing something similar to yours except it was worse in cooler temperatures. I swapped to another cluster and the problem was fixed. Just my 2 cents worth.
