For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Sleeper certified exhaust ideas?

My car came with an ebay N1 style fart can. I got tired of that quickly and welded on a cherry bomb turbo two to quiet it down a bit, but it never fit very well and sounds kind of raspy.

What I'm looking for is a sleeper exhaust, something close to a stock muffler. It needs to have a 2.5"inlet, I have heard a 8th gen civic si or rsx-s muffler works well on our cars.

I also know a few of you are running stock cat backs with other performance mods done. I know granitecb7 for sure has a stock axle back section. Anyone think I would lose significant power swapping to a stock muffler on my 2.5" system?

leave the piping from the n1 an get you a stock muffler thats my plan. same free flowing exhaust without the noise

id find a stock muffler from another car with at least a 2.25 inlet to prevent too much turbulence. a WRX stock muffler has a 2.5" inlet and may fit good with a little welding. Used stock WRX mufflers are really easy to come by too, i think ive got like 6 of them lol

every throws out apexi this and ws2 that, ya they r nice i guess, but alot!

in my previous post in a diff thred, i have a BORLA SPORTSMAN muffler, no rez, 2.25, and i swear it has that tuner mellow tone every one loves, i have double stack, i hhear my intake more always over my tone always, when i step on it 4k up still mellow and low.

i should make a vid, i beleive its quieter than a ws2, but mybe the ws2s design is more free flowing.

dont give a shit im happy with my tone!!!

          mines looks like this

Weld a couple Vibrant Ultra Quiets in the system? These things look like full-fledged straight through style mufflers! There's no point in having a 2.5" exhaust system if you're just going to choke it down to 2" at the end.

            Click pic for deets

My Magnaflow (+ no resonator) is pretty quiet, but then it is stock diameter in/out. I don't know how much another half inch would affect the noise.

              stock muffler = sleeper
anything else =/= sleeper in my opinion

06+ Civic Si muffler FTW, not sleeper, but quiet and flows good.

Best setup - stock axleback with an electronic cutout right before the axleback. Set it up so that when you need the extra power, hit a switch and it opens up either right away or at VTEC engagement rpm for example. This will net the quietest exhaust with the most power gain.

                  Thanks errrubody

My RSR EX-Mag is really quiet...until you get on it WAY quieter than my Greddy Evo2 was, even quieter than when I had a magnaflow street series w/ another added glasspack on there.

It still flows nice too, 60mm piping. Muffler itself is about 19 inches long but it definitely quiets things down.
