Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Power Steering Delete?

Hey guys, my power steering pump is going out and im kina thinking about just getting rid of it all together. Anyone done this?? Too uncomfortable? Does it put as big of a load on the motor as the a/c compressor?

Here you go. The safer more effective way to do it

And no it wont put a big load on the AC if removed.

I don't know how its draw on horsepower compares to the A/C pump (can't be much, it's easy enough to turn by hand ), but I definitely enjoy driving the car more without power steering. When you drive hard, it's easier to feel when the front tires are letting go, I absolutely love it. Now whenever I do drive a car equipped with P/S, I feel so detached from the road. It almost makes me a bit uneasy, it's so numb.

Turning while you're moving at normal traffic speeds is no problem at all. It's in parking lots and the like when it can be a bit tough, but only just. Get the car rolling and you'll be fine. I got used to it in maybe a week or two, it doesn't phase me anymore.

i did it and i dont regret it. i like it more without powersteering. my dad and bro complained from it being to "hard" and that i should put it back on. but screw that, i like it better that way.

i just cut my pressure and return line and looped them.
