Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

chipped ecu tunned to the car
probly lookin at 150whp maybe more if you cam the engine and a sick tune

        Bisi header
        High flow or removed cat
        2.5" exhaust
        H23 intake manifold
Prelude ebay CAI true 3" piping
AEM or Apexi dry flow air filter
Stage1 bisi cam (stg2 isn't a bolt-on IMO because it requires new valve springs)
        A dyno tune

The above setup minus the bisi cam (I have a6 cam) made me 133.6whp and 126.5wtq, dyno chart in link in sig. Keep in mind my block has never been touched and has 247,000 miles on it, a rebuilt block would likely make 140whp and 130wtq or better.

The stage 1 cam should push you up into the 155whp range granted you get a tune.

You want enough "bolt-on" projects for a month or two? lol Here you go:

              - Blacktrax intake manifold spacer (F22a6 and H23 IM only)
              - Maxbore throttle body
              - Bisimoto intake manifold gasket
              - Throttle body coolant bypass and FITV delete
              - EVAP system delete
              - Polish and gasket match upper portion of IM runners
              - Gasket match IM plenum
              - Cold air intake with Blox air filter/velocity stack
              - DIY Cold air intake duct aka ram air
              - Oil catch can setup
              - Balance shaft belt delete OR balance shaft elimination kit
              - Air conditioning and power steering delete
              - Fill all four engine mounts with polyurethane
              - Shorter geared transaxle (H22, H23)
              - Lightweight flywheel (somewhat controversial)
              - ESP Traction bar setup
              - Wet single point Nitrous kit
              - Turbo (also a bolt-on)
              - Delta or Bisi cam
              - Chipped ECU/tune
              - Space your hood with washers
              - Header wrap
              - Vacuum operated exhaust cut-out before muffler (that opens with IABs)

                Subscribed!

I'm glad we have a "master thread" for this now. Maybe we could incorporate some links to any DIY's that people have made for these mods.

Don't get me wrong, I search the forums about five times a day, but sometimes things are so well hidden...

Edit: Awesome list rex! Thanks for that...

Bisimoto cam, a good header, proper intake manifold, good exhaust, will pretty much max the F out and you will run passed LS cars and give H cars a run for their money. I used to run next to LS and B20 cars when I was automatic and had the Delta 272 and the best tuner on the east coast tune my car.

But in all honesty, now that I have the H22A after my cammed F22A, H22a has much more torque and I now make the LS/VTEC guys in town feel like a failure at engine building. By the time you cam and tune the F22A, you could have had a perfect healthy H22A (motor only or automatic swap) for around the same price. Its your personal preference and I prefer the F22A for reliability and durability. I beat the piss out of mine for 6 years and it finally gave up.

What cars have an H23 engine in them? I want to know so I can look out for when I go to the junkyard. And what Should I grab off of the engine along with the intake manifold?

actually for about 1200 you could have a 170whp f22ax. now getting higher than that is a different story, lol.

Probably to make sure you aren't running F22 injectors at too high of a duty cycle as you start approaching 180-190 crank hp
