So this is what my GF's ebay bought generic 4-2-1 header looks like after 9 months of driving, 3 - 4 months of winter snow and salt.

So did some checking. The down tubes from the upper header were 2". Hmm. So got a 2.5" double braided stainless flexpipe from a local exhaust shop, and a length of 2.5 piping from A-Zone. Time to build a custom race header.
The results of some careful fitting, cutting, and welding:
Also, as you can see, the bracket broke off the DP as well. Re-welded the bracket back on.
We will remove the header and downpipe in a few days to coat with VHT header paint.
Results: Car is much quieter for obvious reasons. Little more low end power. Already have a 2.5" exhaust system with a resonator and Magnaflow muffler, was fairly loud before, and the tone was awful. Exhaust note is much more appealing now.
