Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    PLM Headers

Hello guys and girls, this company PLM designs great quality headers at a decent price. Now they don't make headers for f22a's, but I started talking to a rep. from them and I got a response. They'll make headers for our f series but only a min of 50 to do it. The headers are like the try Y pattern. Price is between 350-450$ which is not bad. I've heard they make equal or even more power then the bisi's.... so if your in great let me know. Thanks guys.

I am not a Bisi fan-boy by ANY stretch of the imagination. But if you claim that a header that doesn't even exist can make more power than that header does then you either have a brain tumor or the header comes with a turbo attached to the collector.

You are spouting nonsense by claiming a price point without any design or pictures to give to your needed investors. Combine this with the fact that you need 50 and you've got a problem on your hands. Why don't you start off with something small, like washer or something?
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

I would much rather get a flange and work around that for $400.

Lol, maybe I wrote it wrong but if u want go check their site out. They'll be like their h series Try Y headers but to bolt up to our f's. Search in youtube and you'll find a vid on a cheaper header making more hp then the bisi, and I think it was in a b series motor. I spoke to a rep and he said like around that price, its way cheaper then the v2 bisi offers and they make decent headers I'm just trying somehing new. As far as the 50 min to make guessing is to find a molding and make sure everything fits right. Email them or call them no need to belittle me or talk to me like I'm some baby. Just trying somehing new.

Meh, after seeing that dyno video with the header comparison I'm going after a Logic piece for my H. $400, looks nice, and proven to make power.

A mold? Nope, I definitely don't want this header.

Ever since the asshole that rips off the HyTech header started calling it "Tri Y", everyone started thinking it was something new. Tri Y is just another name for 4-2-1. It's a street header design. It's nothing unique, nothing fancy, and the same thing you get from damn near every "ebay" header there is!

I'm not saying they're crap, and their site looks pretty decent... but still.
The Bisimoto header went through MANY iterations, with LOTS of real world testing to be where it is. If a company will simply take orders for 50 headers, for a design they haven't even done R&D on yet... then we're just going to get an overpriced "ebay" header.
As Jarrett said, that's not to be a Bisimoto fanboy... but at the moment, they are the ONLY company that has put an extensive amount of research into their header (proven by the fact that Bisi's race car is using the design... if we can't believe he researched it for his customers, we can believe he researched it for his own use!)
Anything else is going to be a copy of the Bisimoto design, which is bullshit, or a copy of the generic DC Sports design (which is what most "ebay" designs are.)

Why does everybody always feel the need to comment when there's a software glitch?

You're aware that the F22A4 and F22A6 manifolds are "tri y", right?

Those are some sweet looking headers, but for the price and no proof of the gains I'd rather stick with ebay or stock.

yeah if youre not really putting out the power youd be better sticking with stock header or your run of the mill ebay SS..but hey its your money.

I dont think 50 people will sign up for an over priced clone of someone elses work or tried design. Plus if theyre just willing to whip up something there will probably be fitment issues since theyre not putting their heart and soul into it and just satisfying a demand
