Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Is it just no one makes them for accord? What makes them so much harder to install on an accord then a civic? I see them for civic's Teg's but it seems everyone views the one-piece on the cb7 as *impossible* Why???

not impossible but it would be a pain in the ass to get it past the front crossmember without pulling the motor. why would u want a one piece anyways? there not really much of a difference if any. civics have alot more room the put the one piece in due to there setup.

that i know of, nobody makes a real 4-1 header for an accord. but if you were able to get one, drop the crossmember and notch it to allow clearance for the header. my friends at the shop did that so a 4-1 header could be used on a DA roadrace car.

speaking of headers. how much gain ALONE on it. all else remaining like if i changed my headers for aftermarket ones? and kept stock exhaust

it WOULD NOT be hard whatsoever to install a 1 piece header on the CB.

The reason I want a 4-1 is because they flow better and ALL 2 piece headers I have owned always start leaking at the joint between the upper and lower pieces. They also sound better.

hmm maybe ur mounts are going bad or are bad causing too much engine movement for the 4-2-1 header, furthermore causing exhaust leakage at the joint. make sure ur mounts are good to go and you can use some lock-tite on the bolts/nuts...you should be fine with that.

My mounts are perfect (urethane mounts) the 4-2-1 just SUX. If i have to use one then whatever I will use it till I can get a guy from around me to fab me one up. But I just wanted to know if there IS one for our cars.

correct me if im wrong but i DONT believe there is a company out there that makes a 4-1 style header for our accords....this im pretty certain cuz i was recently interested in one for the sake of freeing up more horses at the high end! but hey 4-2-1 works just fine and draws out lower-mid range hp. Use lock-tite on ur bolts/nuts on ur 4-2-1.....the new DC sports headers that are 4-2-1 have those O-rings where you bolt together the 4-2-1 to help with the leakage....

Civics have about a foot of extra space between the header and the radiator.
