Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I'll go ahead and jump on this thread.

Since I'm not trying to spend big bucks on an exhuast, I'm gonna get something custom made. So since my car is a daily driver, what is by far the quietest aftermarket muffler out there? Either way, I'm planning to also run a resonator with the system as well.

my setup isn`t made to be quiet, but keen sounding and not ricey.. so like this is what i would suggest for a exhaust setup that is quiet.. 2.5 inch piping for performance.. a 31 inch resoncator (they make em, u just gotta find em) and a ES oval muffler.. shoudl sound deeper than stock but not to much louder.... also, this might have been mentioned, but hey, the longer the glass pack or resonator the lower the sound and sometimes the quieter, in turn not high pitched.. later-

most would agree that the apexi world sport or world sport 2 would be the quietest. you can buy just the muffler too so you can hook it to your custom piping. i was looking at the full cat back, but it's not stainless steel, and that's a must have for me in wintery montreal. so i opted for tanabe. a lil more expensive, but i'll never have to change it again.

RS*R is actually quieter than the Apex'i, but isn't available with just a muffler. The Apex'i isn't by any means loud though.

22" Magnaglow resonator(2.5in) with 2.5in cat back piping with muffler design to suit your style. I have done this on my last 3 project cars. Always sounds very nice slight differnce depending on muffler but always nice sound. and 2.5 in piping is good for performance.

my favorite combo is two cherry bombs and a dynomax muffler...deep, pretty quiet, and still flows good.

But don't get a canister, they don't belong on accords.
