Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    hey WED3K so what does a resonator do? and how much did that one cost you? did it change the difference in sound on your exhaust thanks from for helping me out

        I have the Twin Loop with a resonator...it's OK, pretty loud though.

            my apexi isnt that loud even when revved to 3k.
            so large canisters and resonators FTW!

                same as a straight-through muffler. a resonator is pretty much like a muffler. a mid-muffler is another name for it. if you really wanted to, you could use a resonator as a muffler, but it will be LOUD.

                if i had my magnaflow resonator in the house, i would take a picture, but it's sitting in my trunk awaiting installation tomorrow afternoon

                  You know I voted for remus, but if you dont wanna be so spendy get an areoturbine muffler. Just got one and it is the shit!
                  By the way a remus muffler is 300 dollars no way of getting around it. Areo is 150. I fake ebay remus is shitty so dont bother.

                    i have an aftermarket muffler and it doesnt sound that bad so what im planning on doing is see how it sounds with the resonator if it sounds like shit then im gonna have to get another exhaust prolly a magnaflow

                      how big is your resontator? blackice has 2.5"piping with a 26" resonator and the obx twin loop. its quiet as hell. you cant even tell his car is on when its idling, when he goes wot, its sex.

                      im getting my exhaust installed as we speak. 2.5" piping, catco cat, 18" resontator, obx twin loop, and egay header/dp.
