Need help choosing a single-runner intake manifold!!!!

Hey guys, I'm going to be running a chipped & (VTEC) converted P06 to run my H22A, and Phearable.net won't add IAB function for the manifold. I don't have a problem with going single runner, I have a problem with carrying around unused functions. I am trying to decide between the EuroR single runner manifold, or the Skunk2 one. I know the Skunk2 one is supposed to hook up just like stock, so my real questions are with the process of installing the EuroR manifold on an OBD1 engine. I don't know if the sensors just mount in different spots, or if they are different components, how they will work with my ECU, etc.... I just don't know. If anyone has done this or has any advice or comments about either intake, please let me know. I think the EuroR is about $100 cheaper, but I don't want a $100 headache when I try to install it. I searched first, but...

That's cool that they're similar, just didn't know if it's a bitch to hook the Euro up, since it's cheaper. The converted P06 should be mechanically identical to a P28 (so I was told). I didn't have an ECU at all for the motor, I would have been swapping the USDM P13 back and forth from my Prelude, but what a pain. The P06 + the service is still cheaper than finding a P13 or P72, or even P28, and the JDM ECUs have speed governors. I can rebuild a motor, but I don't know crap about ECU tuning. I'm going to use it as a reliable, fun daily driver and (on this car) just want it to run well and go with it. If I learn enough about further custom tuning before I get the car built, I might change my mind, but if I like the ECU too much, I'll steal it for the Prelude..

you need to do a couple weird things to make it work. you need to mount the usdm IACV on the back of the manifold, extend a couple hoses and connectors (brake booster, IACV) and you need a round screw-in type IAT sensor (same one f22b2's use IIRC) instead of the regular flanged 2-screw one. theres only 1 extra vacuum nipple and its a large one, so youll need to put a piece of tubing on that and use a vacuum T to hook everything up. its not hard or too expensive, you just gotta play with things to get it all hooked up. youll need one of those euro-R fuel rail adaptors to bolt an OBD1 fuel rail onto the manifold. i dont know where to find one, but they are out there.

        pictures below of euro-r manifold.

i have a friend who has a skunk2 manifold but i havent looked at it enough to know details about hooking it up. it is definately much bigger though. ill talk to him and ask him about it, maybe get him to register on the site.

Thanks mike, I found this, too:
          from preludeonline.com via google:
the EuroR includes, fixing the fuel rail, plugging holes on the injector side of the manifold, custom mount IAC, and also includes some modifying of the H22A stock TB(rewelding and machining). It takes some work, but now that the Skunk2 one is out, it might be more worth it to do that.

when buying a euro-r manifold online, is the euro-r TB included or not?

Skunk2 makes a hardware kit for theirs that might work for the Euro fuel rail, etc. I don't see a spot on the Skunk2 for an EGR Valve, even though they say it works with all stock sensors and (auxiliaries), unless it's the reversed nipple in the bottom left at the flange? What do you guys think about removing the butterfly plate completely?

I'm rebuilding the entire engine before I put it in with new bearings and rings and gaskets and so on, so now is the time to install as many parts as possible. So I was on eBay this morning looking at the Skunk2 stuff to get an idea of how much I'd have to spend to do it that way. The manifold is about three bills and you need a thirty-five dollar hardware kit for the egr, etc. They also make a number of different size billet throttle bodies, both of which I wanted for my Prelude, but project Accord VTEC is getting my full attention right now. It sucks though, because the throttle body is another $275.00. That's adding almost six hundred bucks to the almost two grand I'll already be to spending to rebuild the motor and upgrade the brakes the way I want to. I'm really only doing it since my ECU choice won't work the IAB correctly and I'd like to reap some benefits from it if I can. So I was looking at all the throttle bodies, when at the end of the list I saw one new in the box for $150 buy it now. I was all nervous and shit as I typed because it sounded too good to be true, and I had just enough in the bank to afford it. After purchase I actually sent the guy an email and asked him if there was anything wrong with or missing from it since it was so cheap. He said he had to sell his project and the parts he had saved for it. I saved like $125 by catching that at just the right time, it was sweet. My mind is made up since I can afford all this crap right now, thanks for the help guys .This Accord is gonna be such a sick sleeper, my Prelude VTEC is going to feel slow
