Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

So... you have an F22a1 stock header and downpipe? Well, it is good that you are asking, because I found this out the hard way- I bought the header and now I am trying to come up with a downpipe.
So: the flanges from the F22a1 downpipe will not attach to the F22A4 downpipe. Furthermore, the F22a4 and F22a6 have the O2 bung in the downpipe, which is more efficient, so you DEFINETLY need to buy an a4 or a6 downpipe. Whether or not the a4 fits on the a6, I do not know.

The a4 is a pretty much stand alone type thing. I've looked at other accords in junkyards and i can say a4 exhaust mani-a4 downpipe that's it. Can't be worked any other way. maybe a1/a6 stuff but wtf cares about that?

          Get the whole header/downpipe assembly.

I would pluck the whole thing to be safe.

            The A4 and A6 are both 4-2-1.

The basic design of the A4 and A6 downpipe is EXACTLY the same, but there seems to be 2 different bolt patterns. Some people have tried to mate an A4 upper with an A6 lower and the bolt pattern was different.

I have seen an A4 upper bolted to an A6 lower, which would indicate there are multiple bolt patterns.

The way to avoid that is to just get the whole thing together. Then you KNOW it will work.

downpipe is a word used to describe the piping that goes from the exhaust port of the turbo to the exhaust

on na applications its (starting from) headers-->a-pipe-->cc-->b-pipe-->muffler or axel back whatever you want to call
