Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

not all h22's have 10:6 compression first of all. those are the jdm (200hp).usdm (190hp) are 10:1. and i agree that .4 in compression isn't much which really defeats the purpose of going to the type s. you can use a thinner head gasket and mill the head and get you close to 11:1. might as well resleeve and go 11:5 or so. oh and the 20whp is adding 2 points to compression. plus perhaps subtracting 2mm from the stock bore to add more gains. i was on the mind set of what i wanna do, my bad. i wasn't speaking of if you go just type s piston, you get type s power. that i do know. its an totally improved head design over the earlier year models. from air flow to components within that made up the type s. as far as tb, depends on if your auto vs manual equipped. its been said that autos have a smaller tb than the manuals and that the fuel/air delivery may me slightly differentLast edited by flight50; 11-06-2006, 02:38 AM.91 Ex CB9

Can you use thinner gaskets to raise compression on the F22?

i'm really set on some type s pistons for my h22a4 motor, plus i'm burning oil like no tomorrow so piston rings are my guess.. why not upgrade to the type s pistons for a full point bump in compression. I was also wondering if the stock rods would be fine? And how much a new set of oem rings would run ya for them bad boys
