Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

wired it up, but its still the same code reset the ecu waited 15 minutes still the same, its wired right is their anything else that would cause the map not to work like a bad dizzy?

and this still doesnt explain the oil light. but i get code 22 which is vtec pressure switch, but ive had that code before, and no oil light came on and it still went into vtec...

im pretty sure that the ecu has gone bad, because im not getting the right voltages to the vtec pressure switch, or the map sensor.

although i cant get the oil pressure gauge in to check and i havent changed the oil yet. so i think im going to do that first. and then start looking for a computer.

That could be a possiblity. Perhaps water somewhere shorted something out.

oh my goodness your all over the place

the 97 lude has different wire colors, but same pinout. I have a h22a4 in my 92 lude and ran into the same problem. you can use a obd1 dizzy (h23, f22, h22a1) and so forth to run the h22a4.

funny how i'm running code 41, and 3 and i get vtec on a p13.

take off your dizzy cap and make sure NO moisture is in it. take off the rotor and the cap and make sure no water is on any of the sensors.

on your map it could also be your vacuum. I still can't get my map to read right on either my h22a4 or the one from the prelude.. oh well.

Why didnt you just use the pinout that came with the vafc....if its used they have the diagram on there website...10x easier and it tells you where to put the wire.

huh? I was throwing a "fuel system delivery" code and my vtec still worked, is what you are saying true? Any code and your vtec won't work? I don't know about that
