Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I used some big lockjaw pliers to pulled the metal away after taking the resonator off. It was really easy. If your not too concerned with the look of your engine bay this is the easiest and most efficient way of getting that hole big enough to get the CAI in. I drove the other day in heavy rain with my passenger signal lamp off to create a ram air and had no problems. I have a generic ebay CAI, if anything i think the rain helped clean off the filter and i felt as if i was getting better performance.

Gonna try out a ram air hood scoop soon. This is an example of one I've seen. I'm pretty good with metal work, so it shouldn't be too tough to do i think...

Thats pretty tite... but i'd make it a little lower & just slap a cover over the battery. Still a great idea

my solution to the problem was to relocate my battery and keep a flathead screwdriver in the car to simply switch from cai to sr in cases of rain or crazy puddles and yes this can get annoying so i just keep the short ram unless im gonna run or go to a show or something.

neither of those are for our cars, theyre just examples. the shortram looks like it was for an integra and the other one for a 5th gen accord or prelude.

and fyi, relocating the battery isnt necessary. i have a 3" coldair and the battery is still in its factory location. and i had the hole cut bigger with a plasma gun.

for my personal cai i had to relocate my battery because of my location of the second piece

which is better for a short ram:

                      1. a ram air kit

                      2. a tube connected to the short ram covering the whole filter and the tube ending up where a CAI filter would be placed, underneth the bumper

im trying to decide what to do, i have a weapon-r intake with a heat shield and im thinking if i need the weapon-r ram air kit or should i just connect a tube and route it all the way down where the cai filter would be
