From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    good intake to go w/ H23 TB/Plenum

Hey guys I'm wondering what intake size is the best for the H23 tb/plenum swap i just did. My 2.5 in. AEM CAI is kinda small for it so i'm looking for a new one. I prefer a CAI vs short ram. So would i have any fitment issue with a 92-96 prelude one? or would the 97-01 be better? b/c right now, the coupler going onto the TB for my current intake is stretched so i'm thinking more power could be had by a bigger diameter piping/filter. I just dont wanna deal with modifying too much stuff.

If you search on ebay, there are a few companies selling intakes for the accord that they claim is 3" piping....probably your best bet.

so something like this on e-bay? here's the deal though, one costs 31 bucks and the other costs 45 w/ shipping included for both, which should i get? they're both the same it looks like... And get what, like a 3" K&N filter to put on it separately?

Just get the cheapest one if you like how it looks....and I suggest an Apexi Power series filter over K&N. I had a K&N for a bit and my oil analysis were showing an increased amount of silicone (dirt from intake air). The Apexi flows great but filter better plus it's a dry filter so no re-oiling to deal with

A 3" intake is overkill. Your AEM will be fine. Since you're running a full CAI it might not help to get a BPI flowstack, but if you're running a short ram, it would definitely help. Then get an AEM Dry Filter to finish it off, and that would be a nice setup.

The 2.5" AEM cold air is smaller than the TB. It therefore will have issues flowing as well as the TB, which in turn makes it a restriction.

the 92-96 prelude and 97-01 lude intakes are basically the same.

i have the ability to make a short ram of my AEM CAI since i've got the bypass valve on. Should i just get rid of the bypass and relocate the filter on top for quicker airflow? or will it not make a difference?

A 2.5" pipe can only flow so much...
