Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Code Zero

Well seems like my acar is giving me the code zero again. I was at first upset that I couldnt figure out why that once was a problem. I found out that if the water temp sensor on the front of the engine is bad then it will solid like the MEL light as soon as you turn on the car, well i got rid of that and I was able to see that I had a code for a few things on including the o2 sensor. Any way I let the car sit and right now When i turned it on i checked the MEL light for shits and giggles and again I get a code zero. Ive replaced the ecu again with one that works I think I have a short some where can you guys help me out thanks ?

unless there is a code then the light will stay on.
Take the damn paperclip out of the connector till the light comes on, on its own.

i know you would think the its a simple fix. but no i want to be able to check my ecu for codes. and the mel is only on with the paper clip. so that means its good its just either missing a ground or the temp wire is cut. which it is and ill be resoldering it in. then ill go to the junk yard and find out were the ground is at

the ecu ground is at the thermostat housing. Run a new wire from the ECU to that ground point.
