Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

getting a street tune but got questions

Ok so I was looking into buying the things to chip my own ecu and then have a friend give me a good street tune but due to time and money restraints I've decided to purchase an already chipped ecu and get the tune. I'm completely inexperienced in this so I need to know a few things as far as the street tune goes. I guess I'll start off with 1 question and go from there. Does my tuner guy need the ostrich emulator to give me a tune on crome or is that just for the initial burn?

If your "tuner" is tuning with crome, he does not need the ostrich to tune, although it would make his life alot easier, and faster, as without it your having to erase and burn a chip for every modification/tweak. With the ostrich it would allow them to tune it easily, and then when the tune is finalized it could be burned to a chip.
