Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

did you convert from obd0 to obd1?

the hardest part about chipping is desoldering.

accord and prelude ecus can be chipped now just cannot remove the knock sensor.

fuel cant be messed with, only timing.

I'll go back and edit it.

But, yes you CAN chip an accord/prelude ecu. But its pointless considering you cant edit the rom's fully.

Anyone try this http://esm.logic.net/public/dsm/ecu-flashing.html ? I have a few of those NIC's. You wouldnt need to go get a some kind of rom burner.

More I think about it you could make a built in eeprom programmer right on the ecu, it be cheaper than getting a burner and a lot more time efficient. Anyone have any comments on this idea? Seem very plausible and the more I research it the more I want to go pick up some stuff and put it together. Or I could just ask some EE's at my school to see if its plausible and they could probably even do it for me (seeing as im lazy ).

Man this is something I have really thought about getting into, but I don't need another time consuming and expensive hobby...LOL!

I will probably do it eventually, but I just don't feel right without being able to dyno AND street tune.

Maybe when I am raking in the mad cash, I will buy a dyno for my garage!

                                LOL!
