Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Smoking when cold??

OK so I currently have 6000kms on the turbo setup so far.
Havn't had any major issues so far, except this problem is making me a little concerned.

When i first start the car (when the engines cold) and only sometimes, while it is warming up, it will start smoking - blue smoke, burning oil.
It only happens if the car gets load on it (if I move the car while still warming up) and only happens like once a month.
I rev it up, and the smoke clears then its all ok again.

To start with I suspected possible cracked ringland (same symptom as my old accord) but its so irregular
Anyway I decided to do a compression test today and got 185 over all 4 cylinders, so that checks out OK.

Any ideas guys on where this oil might be coming from?

19mm hose, and yes it does have a slight kink in it. I've tried 3 different types of hoses and this was the most flexible, though it still kinked. Total internal diameter at kink reduces it to around 12mm.

Maybe you have a minor h/g leak, even though you did a compression test I'm not sure if it would affect the results

It's not the valve guide seals, they've only done 6000kms. I think D112crzy is on the right track the more I look into it.
Cold engine = High oil pressure and also thicker oil.
Any resistance in the turbo drain line (combined with thick oil, and high psi) will cause it to back up, and if bad enough will leak a little past the turbo seals.

Going to change the return line design a little next week If I get time.

Not sure on the headgasket - Could be, Won't know unless I pull the head off . . . Maybe later in the future when I do some other things I've got planned I'll find out
