Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Driving boosted car w. no boost ???

    Hey guys here is my question. I have a 02 civic turboed. I can't seem to hookup emanange to XP and well now its useless to me since i dont have XP. But yeah IF i remove my emanage put my stock injectors in and put my short ram intake back on but keep the rest of the turbo goodies on like the turbo... will the car drive like stock and not ruin anything?

    Here is why im asking. I'm getting Kpro and well I need to get around for the time being.

    Let me know.. I mean if i disconnect the charge pipe it doesnt go into boost so I belive if i do this i should be ok.. the turbo will just be spooling or whatever right?

    Take your car to someone who knows what they are doin before you blow it up wayne. And yes you can take a chargepipe off so that you cant build boost pressure to harm your engine.

    And dont rev the piss out of it your still not out of the woods yet. Drive the car normally until you can get things straightened out. Theres still a chance you can blow it up with unwanted abuse still so keep that in mind

        More advise giving that makes no freaken since.

        I don't recomend any pipes. Your going to run to lean or too rich. Your going to fudge something up.

          You mean it won't hookup to Vista? - Thats because Vista is 64 bit, and XP is 32bit.
          You can still wreck the turbo with the charge pipes not connected due to over spooling - There is no resistance on the compressor wheel w/o the pipes connected.
          Has the e-manage been tuned yet? or even a basemap?
          If its got a basemap leave the car as is, and go to a tuning shop - Just stay out of boost when you drive.

            dont drive your car if you can help it. get some proper engine managment and tuning, or don't drive your car with a turbo on it, period...

              apparently none of you understand. I had a basemap but it was way lean. So i just made my OWN map and it was running fine.. well then I messed with it some more and then my laptop screen burnt out. I got a new laptop and well it wont work with the new laptop.

              but yeah

              Emanage seems to not be hooking up to the laptop.. yet emanage has a green light so IDK. I'm just going to get Kpro.

              I havn't drove the car and well yeah!

              I made 800$ this week so This week Ill make about the same and I will be ordering Kpro! Yippy! I just need to find a damn ECU as I cannot find any civic SI ecu or RSX Ecu

                God, no wonder Speedfoos (Clint) and Andy think you are helpless. You dont listen to anyone ever. Are you even sure KPro works on Vista also? It says it works for XP on there website, and that it could work for others, but there is no support offered for it. You should find a reputable tuner in your area that knows KPro and start listening to Clint and Andy. I know youre on civicforums, and you should be on 7thgenhonda as well.

                CRV M/T ECU, 02-05 i think, www.car-part.com. They tend to be cheaper than the Civic Si's or the RSX's.

                Lowest one is 150, but you could get lucky if you call the ones that say call.

                  Its the way you word things - You said "I can't seem to hookup emanange to XP (sugesting that either theres a problem, or its for Vista) and well now its useless to me since i dont have XP (sugesting that you have Vista)
                  Have you setup the software on the laptop? and does the laptop say "found new hardware" when you plug it into the ecu?

                    diconnect the wastegate actuator and wire the flapper open with mechanics wire. turbo wont make boost.
