how much psi are u guys runnings again?

the timing is infact very conservative.. for me.. ill let MRX chime in.. but thats pretty conservative if ur running anything over 4psi.

Val posting the high cam fuel/ign tables wasnt necc. your engine obviously isnt vtec..

heres a timing table from a f22b from about a year ago.




Notice the difference on everything above 4psi.

I agree in it being conservative - Though the above maps showed both low and high tables, I would assume it is using ONLY the low tables?

I'm running a VERY similar timing map (+/- 1-2degrees all over) to the one you posted Wikked, which is strange due to the different climates

I've thought about the original post for a bit now, And I'm convinced the issue lies in the IAT sensor / placement.

If anyone else has noticed - When your IAT's are high the cold side of the IC is still cold (which negates the hot side of the IC running between the mani and radiator) so either there is some serious heat soak occuring between the IC and the intake valves, OR the IAT sensor is reading inaccurately.

as far as i know the AFR's are pretty good mike keeps a pretty good eye on those - he knows what numbers he is hitting when tho.

as for the boost 8-11 psi

i know that he has never messed with the timing

put washers under all the nuts on the intake mainifold, bypassed the cold idle valve, and fabbed a spacer for the idle air control valve out of a piece of phenolic for fuel vent tubes from a saab340.
