Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Garrett GT 37 ?

I can one of these for free, just want to know if I can make it work in my 92 Accord lx before I take it ? I would be trading an old trans. for my Beretta that I no longer have any need for. I know there are many other components I would need including a custom em, but is this an acceptable size turbo for my F22a1 ?

This is the info I have on it: .58 compressor side and max turbine side is .90 this is a stock turbo off of a late model Duramax diesel, it uses variable turbine blades (the blades close at low rpm/idles and open progressively with increased exhaust flow) which means it spools almost instantly.
The turbine housing needs to be pulled off and the vanes need to be cleaned.
It doesnt use a wastegate in stock form as theres no need, however unless you find a way to crossover an electronic boost controller you will need to use a wastegate and connect a manual actuator to open the vanes.

I am working on getting right now, if I do I won't be looking to get much for it either as the trans I am trading it for was only going to sell for about $300. Sounds to big for my needs, I only to plan to run about 8-10 lbs of boost since I am on a stock engine.

8-10 lbs on that turbo is over 20 lbs on a t3t04e.

go for it! I know a guy who used a HE351 with the variable turbine on a f22. he said that it spooled up very quick.

So I got the turbo, looks good. Has no vertical shaft play at all and almost no horizontal play either. Anybody want it, let me know and I will create private ebay auction.
