Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

F22's do well on holset turbos. You can expect full boost around 4k or sooner depending on the setup with a hx35.

one thing people fail to realize is if you have the added hp you need the added stop power and
the ability to maneuver when needed, so suspension matters as well!

Your worried about safe, after being in a bazillion accidents? Time to trade the old DL in for a shwinn!
I've made my share of mistakes, but I've never been the driver in an accident due to speeding.

I have however been hit a few times and been the passenger so maybe I just have a different opinion then you

If you compare the n/a cfm of the f22 to the compressor map for the hx35 it doesn't even come close to the peak efficiency. I'm sure it'll make boost, but its way more turbo then the motor needs per the compressor map.

That being said I run one on my 4g63, and I rev to about 9k, and if makes wicked power. That car is a track car though, stalled out and all.

My opinion hx35, is way too much turbo for a 4 cylinder daily.

I understand if you guys feel different.

And the idea that you can be on the interstate and not be seeing boost is silly. Why even have a turbo setup on a dd if that's how its going to run?
Because if you use the additional airflow of the turbo without boosting you're still creating more power at lower rpms meaning you can increase gas mileage substantially. I was getting about 38 mpg hwy and well over 440 miles to the tank with my setup. The concept is power when you want it. I hate small turbos, they're inefficient for my driving style of whp and mpg.

I've never come close to causing an accident. When my car's power increased i got more responsible. Maybe your driving habits could use some change?
Knowledge is power...in EVERY sense of the word

I've observed enough poor driving habits to know not to refer some random person to get behind an hx35 on the street.

Obviously, with experience handling it is doable its just not something I think is for everyone, certainly not as frequently as 16 yr old kids read what we post. I feel like if my advice caused some kid to think that he could handle that kinda power in traffic, and then killed himself or some one it'd sorta be my fault. So, I'm honest about driving. It's a rush, maybe my usage of the word "scary" us what's throwing off my point.

I don't think anyone is immune to the rush, and an hx35 is a large turbo.

            As far as driving habits, and whether or not the turbo us too big;

I just think we have different opinions/tastes because I completely understand your side.

Is this 24psi on stock block and daily??? that is pretty wicked if it is. I'd like to see a members ride thread with all your mods

It's onky stock block for now, rings/ringlands are going out. ive been working on my cb for about 7 months, and planned on blowing the stock motor while tuning. now that my tune is pretty solid, ill finish building the new motor. I just don't get much time being a family man and all. Being married with kids can be demanding.

Anyways, the mr thread will happen when its all done. I'd much rather show the entire process from front to back, rather then update minimal bs once or twice a month.

Plan is to be done in July. There's a local Honda meet I plan on attending and soliciting my services to, so hopefully ill get a mrt up around then.

hx35 i.sa large turbo but you dont need it to mak.ethat kind of power. if you want 400whp it can be done with a big 16g safely. also camshafts make huge differences in spool rate. bisi makes a nice regrind for boost, supossedly 60whp@8psi. now what kind of turbo thats with, idk but it cant hurt.

I am aware that the turbo is not needed for the power im going for but I am moving away from the whole dsm turbo scene as I would rather not shave of my front engine mount holes on my new block,
