From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Dude you can not be serious? You still have yet to get the set up tuned.Until you get that dyno tune done, and get a base whp/tq just throwing parts at it will not help you any at all.It will be pointless to say the least since you have no idea what it makes an sure as shit stinks you don't know what the tune numbers are or will be.Is it that hard to understand after spending all that time an money that you need a tune?I wish i had that kind of money to throw away.

they might beable to tune you to the numbers your looking for. probably depends on tuner if they know what they are doing??

You sir need to go get a REAL tune before you start asking about numbers. Street tunes should only be used to get you by until you get a real tune. And when you get the REAL tune you get a REAL dyno sheet. And depending on how that cam is profiled, you may have actually lost alot of your torque because of the cam, but substantially increased hp. Thats probably why you are asking about your tq because its a bitch driving a cammed out F motor at low rpms. If this is a daily driver, I would get a less aggressive cam. Shag Wagon yanked out his Delta 272 cammed F22a and stuck that H22a in and kept spinning out every where he went because he wasn't used to not having to mash the pedal to the floor to get the thing to move.

              -shorter gears
              -h23 IM
-boost controller to run more psi
              -no cat, no muffler
              -solid tune
-lightweight wheels/weight reduction (although difference in TQ is marginal, power/weight always matters)

              just some basic ideas

YEA I JUST DONT WANT TO HAVE TO GET IT TUNED THEN PUT other parts on and get it tuned again because that is waisting money and yes that is why i aked because i have a feeling that cam is going to keep down my tq and just raise my hp!

Too much torque to the front wheels will result in NO traction... keep that in mind.

yea i know that but i still want to have my hp goals like 290 hp with 260 pounds of tq after my tune. But i think the 2.4 cam will make me loose my low end power.. what you guys think i can maybe do those numbers ?

You can make those numbers with a stock cam.The point of your bisi cam is to rev higher an keep making power in the higher RPM's which will reduce the lag once your in the power band of the cam.Its good an you probably won't lose much tq at all compared to the hp gains even on low boost. The tune is the key to get you to your goals an it be safe reliable power.Your not really going to hook anyway on street tires a good slick, an suspension combo will fix that though.
Here recently i seen a d15b make way better numbers on a 272 than his stock cam in hp&tq an alls he needed was a retune an 1psi difference. So what im getting at is i think you would benefit from a proper tune more than slaping more parts on it.

A tune should, in my opinion, never be referred to as a waist of money. I do not know what you are looking at for tuning, or a price, but I will guess about $300. If you are worried that would will have to spend another 300 down the road to prevent your engine from blowing up, and to get what is in most cases the best HP/tq per $ modification you can do, then sell your car now.

The best analogy I can think of for your situation is you putting thousands of dollars into a safe, then not locking it because you might want to put more money in it later. Who cares, even if it costs 300 to lock the Damn thing, if you don't you are just asking to loose the money that's already in there.

I will also say that I'd bisi's f22 turbo cams perform anywhere near as good as his b series turbo cams, then you won't loose torque anywhere over a stock cam. Go search his site for dyno graphs, and talk to him or one of his associates about your concerns. With that said, this is something you should have thought about and discussed before buying that type of cam. Bigger is not always better.

That and if you tell bisi or his people your concearn, the only thing out of their mouth will probably be get a tune...

I did talk to bisi about it they said I actualyy will proablly be loosing a little bit of tq by putting this cam in but in the long run when I build my bottom end this will be a good thing!

                              if you want torque....

put your car on the dyno (with a tuner) and crank up the boost until you get what you want.

If you want an engine that make a lower peak torque then switch to stock cams or something more mild.
