Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Not Boosting... ????

Hey guys, my turbo doesn't boost anymore. We installed it 2 days ago and it was working fine until I messed with the BOV and charge pipes. I installed the BOV myself, right after the pipe that goes to the TB and then I changed 1 charge pipe to a metal one because the old one was rubber and kinked. Now, I got no boost, whats going on?

Boost leak! lol. just check your charge pipes again. all of them and wherever theres a connection. when changing those pipes ya migth have wiggled it to much and caused one of the charge pips to come apart. hope this helps!

its almost guarenteed to be a leak. i dont think the scratches in your compressor blades would cause 0 boost. charge pipes could though

alex, what did you use to install the BOV?? how did you connect it to the pipe?? also, make sure that the BOV isn't open too much, i do believe i saw an adjustment screw on the top of it.

We got it running 1 psi of boost, its not a vacuum leak we checked all of the hoses, can it be the actuator?

it could be, but it was working fine before. make sure the line to the gauge isn't kinked.

why would the line to the gauge cause it not to boost?

it would cause the guage to not read boost, how did you hook up the BOV?

i had adam (h23accord) reroute the bov to the back of the intake mani. They said they heard it blow off. I'm pretty sure its just the w/g actuator is stuck and keeping the flapper open. Slow spool, exhaust is kinda loud, and doesn't really boost till high rpms..all signs point to the w/g flapper

AH! i just figured out a great way to get around the a/c line easier without hacking up the mani as much. Not sure why it JUST came to me but whatever. The flange on the o2 housing that mates to the turbo...remember how thick it was? Even tho its cast iron it can still be shaved down to half its width. Shaving it down won't make it weak unless you shave it down to about 25% of the original width. That would make for almost 5-7mm of difference which would be more than enough to get the 02 past the a/c line!!! Discuss..

i can maybe shave off the manifold where that missing stud is and put it back in and torque it... i took it to a mechanic shop today to see what their quote would be to do all of that
