From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Scat Rods??? Mahle Pistons???

I am building my F22B for some serious turbo abuse with H22 components. I was searching on ebay for some pistons and rods my F22B, and i came across these brands.

    Mahle Pistons???
    Scat Rods???

I was going to order their 9.0 compression pistons from the H22 but i really never heard of Mahle Racing. Then Scat sells these 4340 forged rods for the H22. They come with ARP bolts and ARP assembly lube so they sound very reliable. They are precison balanced and built to handle up to 600 hp. On a side note i am going with a knife-edged H22 crank. Opinions please.

there are multiple links when you google both those brands.. maybe they are companies that have recently started catering to the honda/acura people.. i have never heard of em though.. i guess just ask around other boards maybe and see if anyone has experience with em..

mahle is very good quality. I think the used to be primarily v8s. Not sure, but my dad bought cast pistons and bearings from them for his 350.

Thanks for the input. I was skeptical about them because the first place I found them was on ebay.

mahle is the first company to make forged pistons for the h22 without the need to resleeve it.Actualy its still the only company i think.

Well, I went on their websites and they listed various companies that use their products. But there is no company that i know of that will tell you straight that our product sucks. So, i figured asking around would be a good idea. I found some mustang guy who told me they had those pistons for a few years in their nitrous motor and they have not failed them yet. So that was a little more reassuring. I think I will get them. It's not a bad deal ($420) so i want to try them out. So I will keep you guys posted on the built F22b project.

Here is the plan so far.
Crower turbo spec cams for the H23
            Crower spring/retainer kit
            Mahle H22 9.1 CR pistons
            Resleeved block
            Scat 4340 rods (600hp capable)
            H22 knifedged crank
            KMS remanufactured oil pump
            Turbo: AGP RS43 turbo.

i hav a built h23 with mahle pistons, got about 6000 miles no probs yet. if iwere you i would get them.and i using crower rods
p.s. when u get your pistons and rods you r going two need a thicker head gasket because your pistons r going 2 stick out about .20ths out the cylnders hole and you dont need your crank knife edge

I had some misguided info, those pistons will not work. I think decided to go with the KMS pistons. You will see these in my future buildup.
