Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

putting together my cheapo kit - advice needed

someone at honda-tech pointed me this way, this site is great. just got a 90 DX for pretty cheap with 140k

anyways, heres the parts i've collected from when i was gona turbo my 96 prelude S (f22a1) which i sprayed to hell and sold cause it was getting rusty anyways(fuc minnesota for that)

    14b turbo
four blue top 450cc injectors from a 1g eclipse
drag FMIC - bar and plate, 6" tall, 2.5" deep, 33" long total

thats it... what else do i need? i know i need engine managment of some sort, charge pipes, bov and a flange or a pipe with a flange on it, lines and source of oil/coolant, i was gona use the stock wastegate for now because i just want to get it all going as cheap as possible before its snowing and cold. i think i might use a eclipse exhuast manifold and o2 housing but im not sure exactly of any of this yet.

my clutch is shot when i bought the car so thats 1st thing im spending money on - feel free to suggest one.

im also worried that intercooler will totally block all airflow to my radiator so i might have to do somthing about that..

i know this sounds like alot to ask, but i just want you guys to point me in the right direction, parts and whatnot, im lookin to go cheap as possible and still have a reliable daily driver for a year or so, maybe only 8psi or so for now, or whatever the stock wastegate is set to (7psi?) my goal is around 175-190hp or so.

    thanks for any advice

personally, i tried to go the cheap route last summer, and just do the basic stuff to my engine when i was turboing it, and i regret it like everyday dude. Build it right the first time, such as forged internals and things of that nature...IMO anyway!

sounds exactly like my setup...cheap, reliable (for over a year now), daily driven, 8psi, 195whp

im sure i paid less for this car then it would cost just for the parts to build the engine up to take more boost, which would also cost me more money to do, basicly i cant afford it, and i dont usually own a car for more then a year anyways(i do really like this accord though, feels right)

so it looks like some of you use a chipped p06 ecu? what exact honda are these found in? and why isint my stock ecu usable?

does a 2g exaust manifold bolt up to a 14b?
