Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Evo manifolds?

As we all know..the DSM manifold fits the f22a blocks correctly, with a little re-drilling. So, if Mitsu used the 4g63 design up until the current evo8, then it makes sense that evo8 manifolds would fit f22a's if re-drilled?

    Can anyone confirm this?

If this is true, it would open up a world of manifold options to turbo f22 owners.

I pondered this before...however...it may not. See if Eclipse manifolds and the EvO manifolds are marketed seperately...This may mean the bolt patterns are different. However, the ports seem to be the same.

Interesting...I was under the impression that you could use evo manifolds on older DSM's.

No shit? Do you know anyone, or anyone from this site who has done such a thing? That would open up a whole new world of possibilties for cb7 owners.

I tried a visual comparison...they look very similar. Now I am questioning the spacing between ports. If that is off too, then its possible that they do not interchange.

EDIT: I have some to determine that the EVO 8 manifolds are similar to the standard DSMs but no the same. EVO 3 manifolds are dead on. However those are already advertised under Eclipse 1g, and 2g.

This must be the reason why...

If they are similar..I wonder what the difference is? If the difference is small enough, it may be able to work.

Wierd enough the gasket was solid. So it does not go into the cylinder head. My guess is that it will create fitment issues. The cylinder head of those 4G63's do not look the same.

I wish I could test fit one of this. But alas...I don't even own an accord at this point.

I was going to say something about the whole MIVEC thing . .. but thats on EVO IX models and not EVO VIII models . . . Im stumped. I would LOVE to see this manifold work for us though.

i am using a stock evo3 manifold, it very very similar to 2nd gen eclipse manifold now from what iw as told by jims fabrications whichs is a pretty respectable shop, the diff was that evo ones have hoels for special fule injector sprayers to keep the turbo spooled

I assume the evo3 manifold is far superior to the 2nd gen eclipse manifold?

When comparing the stockers. The Evo 3 manifold has the best design out of the three. They are all interchangeable.
