Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Dyno tuned today

Here's the initial word. I had to work so my tuner took my car. Tuned on 9psi, stock F22A6 block, see member's ride for specs.

Heatsoaked after tuning put me at 270 whp and right around 240 wtq. Dyno wasn't reading torque values, and those numbers are corrected.

Thanks Maple. Yes, see the member's ride, it's 100% accurate.

No graphs yet, my tuner [good friend, Matt] has them on his laptop and is out tuning another car. I'll try and attach them later.

The dyno wouldn't get a torque signal, so he was estimating based on the dyno when he told me 240ish wtq. Either way, I knew this thing was a monster, but damn! With a better intercooler that didn't heatsoak so bad, 280 would be a breeze.

Its not that straightedge the fact is even though your getting heatsoak and 9psi its just getting cooler so that setup of your is gettin a little better due to weather change more cooler air with the good mixture of fuel and tuning surely will yield better numbers.

I understand changes in weather. That's why a heatsoaked intercooler will not produce as much power as either A. a more efficient cooler or B. an initial pull.

The first pull the car took of the day netted 273whp, after tuning and heatsoak you can see it went down. I'm not mad for these reasons 1. The power is THERE, easily. and 2. It is now tuned more RELIABLY than just a street tune relying on a butt dyno. I DD this car, it can't be quirky and so far, my tuner is the best I've ever seen and I'm extremely happy with all he's accomplishing.

Either way, 270whp on a stock block SOHC is nuts and I'm still a tad bit shocked.

hey it happens but not so often you have a decent motor take care of it

Why do I need to look at your dyno?

                              I'll post my graph later.
