Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Turbo Calculator

So, I got pissed off the other night at having to do an arse load of math to figure out which turbo would be just about right for my setup/needs, etc. So, I fired up Visual Studio and cranked out this little baby. You basically just enter all the info it asks for, and it spits out lbs/min, and the pressure ratio, so you can actually see if that turbo (based on where lbs/min and pressure ratio cross on the turbo map) is any good for your setup.

It requires the .NET framework 2.0, which can be downloaded here:
    .NET Framework 2.0

The program itself can be downloaded here: Turbo Calculator

Let me know what you guys think, or if you find any bugs, or have any suggestions! Also, let me know what you think would make it more...informative, or easier to understand what you need to do with the data it gives you.

    its alright i guess.

needs more input to be more accurate tho. like, VE, pressure drop from IC, compressor intake temp, comp. intake pressure...small things like that all affect on power goals and how much lbs are required for your power goals.

      hmm that is pretty nifty!!!

I agree though, if you added some more factors it would most likely bring the numbers closer to what your actually looking for.

      Good job tho!!

Yeah, I am still looking for the formulas to calculate the pressure drop. Compressor intake temp is the ambient temp, I suppose I should relable it. And VE is one helluva hard thing to calculate. I'll get to work on those! Thanks for the feedback.
