Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

You realize MTF only needs to be changed every 50,000 miles unless you drive extremely hard then every 25,000-30,000.......

except i drive 6k miles a year...and half of them are pretty hard ones.
so changing my mtf every 5 years would be like changing my engine oil once a year.

Currently using Redline Lightweight ShockProof gear oil in the straight cut box... Keeps it a tad quieter and TOTALY resists being thrown off the gears... Its awesome untill you have to clean the shit off the tranny internals to rebuild/maintain it... Shit is really sticky, but has the consitency of like 10-40.

                  Syncromesh friction modified owns otherwise....

gm synchromesh w/ the friction modifier. it's super expensive, but the peace of mind is worth it.

honda mtf and i use to pay $5 a quart but i didn't know my buddies who work at honda could get it for free. I usually change it every 10,000 which comes to about once a year.
