Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    MSD box issue

i bought the msd sci box. i dont understand the two wires that shouldnt be used at the same time. the white wire which is described as "to points or amplifier output (connects to yellow wire of timing accessories)" the other is a plug that has a green and violet wire and is described as "to magnetic pickup in distirbutor or cranktrigger." i would like to hook it up but im stuck as to which one im suppose to use and how to find it in my car. i have a 92 accord ex with the f22a6. thanks in advance

The white wire is the points wire, correct... and this should be used to trigger the MSD box. Connect it to the original wire that used to go to the negative terminal of the stock ignition coil's primary. You will know if you hooked up the rest of the box properly if you get a spark when you touch the white wire to ground.

If you are using that, do NOT use the green/purple wires. This is a different way to trigger the MSD ignition, and would be connected to a magnetic pickup, as the manual states.
