when i installed my f&f type ones I measured my car one last time (it was on ebay coil overs for almost 3 years) and the car was completely off, the left was lower than the right on the front and vise versa on the rear... When I installed them there were measured perfect and I even aligned the car my self ...
like stated above they sag unevenly, they are unsafe, and my car felt unsafe when I drove it toward the end. It wobbled and bounced allot. When I installed the F&F type 1 the car felt 8000% better, safer and just plain better. Save up buy real coil overs that have quality control in there manufacturing process and you have some one accountable if the part fails.
I had them on my wagon once. It mad it get LOW like the good looking kind of low but they rode like shit and like everybody else said they were uneven. I never had problems with threads stripping...just uneven height.
to tell you the truth, it all depends on who you buy from and how they cost. sideswipe got some coilovers off of ebay(not the usual blue coils with silver sleeves. his were red with black sleeves) and once he got some KYBs on his, he told me they rode fine. no bounce. but like slammed4thgen said, im saying get them, im not saying dont. but always keep in mind:
would you trust your life and car to a cheap suspension?
Tried them before I learned about suspension and better parts became readily available -- total crap. save your cash until you can afford to get something decent.
also since all the springs are the same length on the ebay coils your rear will still be tuckin when there set up all the way up. the front end will jar you up and down and the springs dont sit right so they make noise and wobble.
